COURSE OUTLINE

The full course is usually divided into four classes of 2,5hrs each. We always adapt the lesson to your needs, so the following overview is just an indication of what you can expect during the course:

Feeling the power

The first class is aimed at teaching you a basic understanding of the kite and how to use it safely. We will start with flying a small kite, to teach you basic steering skills. This is followed by an explanation of setting up the kite and what safety precautions need to be taken into account. After this we will fly the big kite, starting with some small excercises to get you used to flying - all the way through to using the power of the kite!

Getting your feet wet

In the second class, we usually start with a short recap of the first lesson on the beach. After this, you're ready for the water! We will go into the water without the board, using the power of the kite to drag ourselves through the water like superman. Great fun! We will also practice how to get the kite out of the water when it falls.

Introducing the board

The start of the third class is used to do a recap of the second class, after which we will explain you how to handle the kite and board at the same time: walking into the water while in control of both kite and board; putting the board on your feet; making sure you understand how to balance your body; and doing some small excercises to get you up on the board and riding short distances.

Ready for take-off

The last class is for you to become completely independent. We help you understand how to ride longer distances, recover your board in case you do fall, stop and turn, make sure you can come back to the beach and your starting point, etc. These last hours should make you feel completely independent and ready to continue advancing on your own!
